cell colony counting > ColCount > Comparative data |

|
|
ColCount has been designed to accurately reproduce the proportionality
of manual counting yielding highly comparable surviving fraction
and IC50 data. Importantly ColCount not only dramatically
reduces the time taken to count colonies but will apply constant
counting parameters to achieve a purely objective and potentially
less variable count.
The effectiveness of ColCount as a substitute for manual colony
counting has been demonstrated in a peer-reviewed publication
(Barber PR et al., 2001) but below are random examples of
comparative survival and dose-response curves, as well as
counting variability data obtained during a selection of user
demonstrations. In all cases, comparative counts were done
'blind' with data/graphs provided directly by the investigator.
The data were obtained from a wide variety of cell types/lines.
