| Founded
on innovation and operating with an entrepreneurial flair,
Oxford Optronix is a global pioneer in the design, development
and manufacture of opto-electronic bio-sensing devices for
tissue vitality monitoring and intelligent imaging systems
for the life-sciences.
Our
products are designed, developed and manufactured in-house
by experienced scientists, engineers and technicians with
R&D backgrounds.
Headquartered
at purpose built facilities in Oxford, UK, Oxford Optronix
is a privately held company that is self-financed through
its thriving sales. Oxford Optronix' success stems from the
diverse applications of its quality-made instrumentation,
which is underpinned by a programme of continuous research
and development and unmatched levels of customer service.
The
Company's product families include a range of bio-sensing
solutions for direct monitoring of fundamental parameters
affecting tissue vitality, including oxygen partial pressure
(pO2), temperature and microvascular blood flow. These products
have proved highly successful in a variety of research disciplines
as diverse as oncology, ophthalmology and the neurosciences.
The
Company's product portfolio also includes novel, intelligence-based
imaging systems for automated mammalian cell colony counting.
These products are conceived to provide very significant throughput
enhancements for cancer biologists utilising the colony forming
assay, a gold standard method for measuring the effects of
radiation, chemotherapeutic drugs and other agents on cell
viability in vitro.
With
principal expertise in the field of fibre-optic based sensing,
lasers, photo detection and spectrophotometry as well as analogue
and embedded digital signal processing, Oxford Optronix continues
to pursue an aggressive programme of R&D in these core
technology areas. We are particularly proud of our close and
long-established academic links with a number of Universities
and Research Institutes with whom we continue to collaborate
on a range of exciting R&D projects.
Oxford
Optronix is actively engaged in a number of key Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) collaborative deals. These mutually beneficial
partnerships contribute to the continued expansion of Oxford
Optronix' technologies into exciting new areas of the life-sciences. |
