It has been a busy few months for us. We’ve attended three conferences since April, all in the US and all providing receptive audiences to our product range.
In April, Andy, Michael and Petra attended the American Association for Cancer Research conference with the HypoxyLab, OxyLite Pro and GelCount in tow. Despite an initial hick up – half our exhibit failed to arrive on time! – the show was a great success. With over 18,000 delegates at the conference, the four days were incredibly busy. We received a great reception, particularly for our newly presented HypoxyLab workstation, but also for our now well-established GelCount colony counter platform, which continues to receive great user feedback too.
The HypoxyLab also stole the show at the much smaller-scale Tumor Microenvironment Workshop in Florida, attended by Andy in May. Amongst lots of praise it was applauded as “just the size [needed] to run parallel experiments”, an encouraging vindication, we feel, of our original design vision for the system.
Overlapping this event was the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) in Seattle, attended by Petra. Our booth, prompted by the presence of our oxygen and temperature monitor, the OxyLite Pro, attracted discussion on the potential short and long-term effects of contact lenses on oxygenation of the cornea. It was speculated at the event that our OxyLite Pro could be used to explore this question, so watch this space!
