Data recording software for the laboratory scientist can be costly and is often bloated with features and functions, many of which go unused.
OxyData™, developed in-house and recently re-launched in a version 2 implementation, is an inexpensive, 'no-nonsense' data recording solution intended specifically to complement our OxyLite™ and OxyFlo™ platforms.
It supports the recording of oxygen, temperature, and blood flow readings in real-time, directly to a PC. There is no additional hardware device involved; OxyData™ consists of PC software and a proprietary serial data cable to link monitor and PC.
Conveniently, the software automatically identifies and configures itself for the monitor(s), sensor(s) and probe(s) connected. Simultaneous recording from up to 2 monitors and up to 8 sensors or probes is supported.
The user interface displays both alphanumerical values for each sensor and probe (in the dashboard view) and will also display any combination of these in a dynamically adjustable trace (chart recorder) format.
Data are recorded as CSV files and optionally also into a file format compatible with the freely available LabChart™ Reader.
LabChart® Reader is an implementation of the highly acclaimed LabChart™ Pro physiological data recording and analysis software platform by ADInstruments and supports the exportation of selected data segments into Excel® for further analysis.
OxyData™ is PC software compatible with Windows® 10 and Windows® 11. It communicates via a dedicated serial interface port, now a standard feature on all OxyLite™ and OxyFlo™ monitors*.
A proprietary serial-to-USB data cable is required to connect each monitor to the PC.
The PC requires one free USB port per monitor connected.
* Applies to monitors manufactured since September 2024; older hardware may be retrofitted at our UK service centre.
