Oxford Optronix a proud to partner with MycoFog to offer the MycoFog™ biodecontamination system.
MycoFog™ is a convenient, battery powered biological decontamination system intended for most types of tissue culture incubators, as well as hypoxia chamber workstations such as HypoxyLab™
Maintaining a sterile environment during cell culture is critical, and MycoFog™ makes it simple. This easy to use device generates a hydrogen peroxide fog that is effective against a full spectrum of microbiological contaminants including spores, viruses, bacteria, and fungi, making a substantial contribution to contamination control procedures in incubators and workstations.
Here's how it works:
While the HypoxyLab's built-in HEPA filter efficiently minimises contamination risk in use by continuously scrubbing the chamber atmosphere, the MycoFog™ goes a step further.
It allows the system to be fully disinfected between experiments, providing an elegant and effective means of eliminating the risk of cross contamination between consecutive cell culture experiments.
Unlike manual decontamination methods MycoFog™ offers quick and efficient, 'hands-free' biodecontamination. The MycoFog™ perfectly embodies Oxford Optronix's commitment to advancing cell based research with innovative, user friendly solutions.
MycoFog's biodecontamination characteristics have been successfully validated within the HypoxyLab™ using industry standard biological indicator vials containing Geobacillus stearothermophilus spores.
The MycoFog™ system includes the MycoFog™ biodecontamination fogger, and reagent bottles which contain a proprietary H2O2 formulation for optimal results.
